IV century roman mosaics inside the Mausoleum of Santa Costanza, monumental complex of St. Agnes Outside the Walls, Rome
Built by Costantina, daughter of Costantin I, as a mausoleum near the basilica erected above the catacombs of St. Agnes , it would later become known as the church of Santa Costanza, when Constantina was venerated as saint.
First piece in my art project entitled ‘self’. Through various media I hope to explore what self means to me.
If you were asked to draw a self portrait without a mirror how well would you do? Do you know the curves of your smile? How your freckles fall across your nose? The lines that form when you express yourself?
You own not one, but thousands of faces, some which you will never see. The question is, who will?
